Supa airstones provides when connected to an air pump a fine mist of air bubbles. This is achieved as the air stone is made from high quality sintered ceramic material which means that the stone has many fine holes in it which allows the air to escape into the water. The air when it enters the aquarium or fish tank provides aeration of the water plus stimulates the circulation of the water which stops the formation of stagnant water.
Air stones should be cleaned when needed and will also need to be replaced occasionally to ensure they are working to their maximum efficiency. The length of time between changing your air stone can vary between a few months and a few years as the life of the air stone will be affected by the PH of your water, what chemicals your use in fish tank etc.
